139th Annual Diocesan Convention, March 11-12, 2011 in Little Rock

To the Episcopal Congregations in Arkansas:The Central Convocation churches north of the Arkansas River, and I as your bishop, invite you to the 139th Annual Convention of the Diocese of Arkansas. It will convene with Holy Eucharist at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011, at Trinity Cathedral in Little Rock. The evening will continue with a reception at the governor’s mansion. The business session will take place on Saturday, March 12, at Episcopal Collegiate School. Our focus will be on sharing good news with Arkansans across this state, and I hope that all of our members of the clergy and elected delegates will be able to attend.Lay delegates to convention are to be at least 18 years old and confirmed communicants in good standing of the congregation from which they are elected. I hope that your congregation will be fully represented. If there are financial constraints on your participation, please let me know, and I will help make it possible for you to attend. It is a sign of health when as many of us gather as is possible. For more information and convention registration, click here.

If you have any questions about this process, please contact Beth Matthews in the office (501-372-2168; Bethily@aol.com). With every best wish I remain,Faithfully yours,Larry R. BenfieldBishop of Arkansas
