The Pillow Project at St. Francis House

pillow-projectA supporter of St. Francis House, who wishes to remain anonymous, is supplying a new pillow and pillowcase for each of the veterans who moves into St. Francis House.St. Francis House's Veterans Re-Entry Program provides transitional housing to more than 225 homeless veterans each year, some with mental, emotional, PTSD, or substance abuse problems. The average stay at St. Francis House is three months but can be as long as six months. During their stay the veterans take part in various training groups, including life skills training for four days a week.This on-going donation has been made in the name of Colonel (Ret.) David W. Hunt, an Army veteran now living in Maine who was awarded four Purple Hearts, the Distinguished Service Cross, the Silver Star, the Soldiers Medal and Distinguished Service Meda
