Sign Up for Pre-Convention Meeting Space

Friday, Feb. 17, at St. Mark's, Little Rock

Rooms will be available at St. Mark's Episcopal Church for groups which would like to meet on Friday afternoon (1–2:30 p.m.), Feb. 17, the day Convention begins. Please email Wanda Dunwoody to reserve space.

Resolutions & Nominations for Diocesan Convention

If delegates to convention or members of the clergy wish to submit a resolution for consideration by the convention, it needs first to be sent to the Resolutions Committee. Please email the Rev. Danny Schieffler, rector of St. Mark's in Little Rock and chair of the Resolutions Committee, any resolution that you want considered.

There will also be a number of elections at convention. To find out which positions are open and how to nominate someone, visit the convention web page.

"There Is More to You Than You Think"

A Seminar Led by Bishop Larry Maze

St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Little Rock invites everyone to join Friday, Feb. 3–Saturday, Feb. 4 for this seminar which explores the inner spiritual journey employing Jungian spirituality to help discover parts of yourself you never knew existed. The cost for the seminar is $35 per person and includes lunch on Saturday. You may pay at the door or online. Register and learn more on St. Mark's website.

Winterstar Retreat for Youth

Feb. 24–26 for Senior High, March 2–4 for Junior High

Winterstar, the Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas' annual winter retreat for youth, will take place on two different weekends: Senior high Winterstar will be Feb. 24–26; junior high Winterstar, March 2–4. Both weekends will take place at Camp Mitchell and will begin on Friday evening, with registration at 8 p.m., and end Sunday morning, with a closing service at 10:30 a.m. For more information or to register, visit the Winterstar website.

"Up on Broadway" Art Show

March 9, 7–9 p.m., at St. Michael's in Little Rock

This show will be a fundraiser to benefit the creation of Lucie’s Place, a shelter for homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth in central Arkansas. Regional artists from Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Florida will provide pieces for a silent auction. Tickets are $25 per person or $45 per couple.
