St. Paul's, Newport Launches New Spanish-Language Service

A photo and note from Brooks Cato, the new deacon at St. Paul's, Newport:"When I was called to St. Paul's, the parish expressed an interest in renewing their Hispanic Ministry. In an effort to reach out to a grossly under-served segment of the Body of Christ in Newport, the Rev. Russ Snapp and I have been planning for this Spanish language service for a couple of months. We finally got to August 4, our kick-off date and were blown away by the response. Our first service drew in 15 people. Though the service was a beautiful event by itself, the real connection came out in the parish hall afterwards. Over coffee and pound cake, all 15 people stayed for a full hour of lighthearted fellowship. The energy in the room was inspiring, and I feel honored to be a part of this exciting time in the church."St. Paul's, Newport, launches new Spanish-language service.
