Bringing Narnia to Life
Lynne Young and Marcia Beat have been working every weekday night for a month, painting panel after panel—a forest in winter, a glorious springtime, witch trees with eyes. All of this work is in preparation for vacation bible school at St. John's Epicopal Church, Fort Smith. The theme is "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," C.S. Lewis' fantasy novel about Narnia, and the panels will be the backdrops for the week's events. The vacation bible school will be held in the evenings, Aug. 8–12, with a dinner at 5:30 p.m. each evening and the program beginning at 6:15. It is a joint effort with three other Fort Smith churches—St. Bartholomew's Episcopal, Trinity Episcopal and Central Presbyterian. To sign up for vacation bible school at St. John's, email Jeannie McCabe or download this form.
